Xel-Ha Quintana Roo, Mexico |
| Travel Information for the Yucatan Peninsula Mexico |
| Xel Ha was once a coastal village that specialized in obtaining conch shells, which were crushed and used as an ingredient for making stucco. There is sufficient evidence there even today to demonstrate this. | |
| Xel Ha has a cenote, which has 5 sweatlodges. Still visible is the red paint, which was painted over all the rocks around the cenote. This is a unique cenote to say the least. You could try to swim in it but watch out for crocodiles. | |
