CLIENT TESTIMONIALS

We receive a large volume of e-mail, the majority dealing with questions. Many of these questions are unique and quite often end up as the nucleus for a future web page in our site.

Assembled here is a small number of client testimonials and site accolades garnished this past year.

We made reservations thru you for two nights in a small family-owned hotel in Playa del Carmen. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the hotel, we found that the accomodations were totally inadequate. The management was very kind, and helped us find another hotel that better met our needs, AND she wrangled a 30% discount for us. We agreed to let the first hotel keep one night's room rent (since she was ssooo nice), and asked for a refund for the second night. We didn't contact Travel Yucatan about the refund until a week after we returned to the USA.

When we finally did contact your company, YOUR REPRESENTATIVES, Joaquin Ochoa and Liliana Cortes were polite, professional and prompt in their replies and the result was totally satisfactory! It is a small refund, but I will remember for a long time how well I have been treated by your company.

I have added you to my FAVORITES list on my computer.

Dear TravelYucatan.com,
Humble apologies for the long delay in contacting you.
Holbox:
While the fishing at Holbox could have been better; our stay there was delightful. All transfer arrangements both land & water made by our guide, Alejandro Vega were punctual & excellent quality (fyi). The room at the Faro Viejo was perfect for three people and as you said the restaurants are very close. We were directed to one on the beach called Carioca which was inexpensive & superb. Another on the town square called The Pirate's Cave served expensive but very good Italian fare. Marlys wasn't there when we arrived, but I did meet her the following day; she is very nice & the hotel was perfect as our guide beached his panga directly in front of the hotel each day. Small thing, but I suspect the hot water has a long way to travel or is non-existent, so cold showers were the order of the day. Actually welcome after a day in the hot sun.

Mujeres:
We arrived early on the check in day (11-11:30) and the somewhat surly desk staff did what they could to get us into the room before 2p. The room had only two beds & I was promised a third. What we got was a cot; very low to the ground & hard (which was good) & lots of hot water. Some palmetto bugs/roaches in both places; but hey, they come with the tropics! We landed a number of billfish including 2 sails & one white marlin on flies. All in all a wonderful trip- Muy thanks for all your help. Wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

We were rewarded with the kindness of strangers.
Sincerely,
Pat Lehoe

Thank you so much for your help. It has truly been a pleasure working with you.

Thanks again,

On behalf of everyone in our group we would like to thank you and especially the guides and driver who took us on our tours of Chichen Itza and Coba.

We had a wonderful time and saw everything I wanted to see and was given enough time to really enjoy everything. It was wonderful fun. The guide, Jesus, went out his way to make us comfortable. He and the driver were very friendly and entertaining. We really enjoyed our vacation and have recommended your travel service to our associates. I will definitely personaly use your service again the next time I visit Mexico.

Thank you for the "insider-info" that you gave us, we really appreciated it. We took our kids to Ya Kul lagoon as you suggested and they just loved it. It was quite an experience visiting Xcaret and we are glad you so strongly recommended it as we probably would not have visited if you had not. We will be returning!

Just a note to let you know that we reserved a hotel and tour through your web site and found that everything was as you listed it would be. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer.

I would like to say that my trip to Mexico will be an experience that I will never forget. I learned many things that I can take back and share with my friends and family. The uniqueness that this country has can and should be shared by everybody that visits this great place.

About our web site...

The site is fantastic and exactly what the area needs! Honestly, I worked on all these issues when I was at WWF International, for the sustainable tourism policy of the organization, and your management of the information is some of the most succinct and practical I have seen. Thanks so much for putting it together; it is inspiring to see such work and gives us hope that things are indeed changing.

Hello

I have just stumbled across your website and it is EXCELLENT! Thank you SO much! Its informative yet funny. Its clearly set out and has alot of very useful information. I have emailed the website address to myself so I can revisit at whichever Internet cafe I may be in. Your advice will follow me throughout Yucatan.

From Jennifer

We are travelling to Playa Del Carmen on Saturday, January 13, 2007. We love to be informed beforehand about the places that we are traveling to. We checked several websites regarding Playa and found your's to be the most helpful. Thank you so much. Armed with all of this knowledge regarding our destination, we are looking forward to our vacation that much more.

What a fantastic website! I have traveled to the Maya Riviera three times before and have always searched for a website such as yours. Since I'm heading back down at the end of January I'm especially pleased to find all the info I need in one spot! From ferry schedules to the collectivos! Fantastic! I'll be sharing your website with a couple of my pals who will be traveling with us for their first Yucatan trip. Thanks for the hard work. I really appreciate the great job you've done!

Your website is BY FAR the best one that I have seen to date for detailed information regarding…. EVERY thing that one needs to know when traveling in the Yucatan Peninsula.

Thanks a million,
Emily

I just wanted to say ‘what a fabulous site!’. I am travelling from the UK to Puerto Aventura in late August with my family and have been thoroughly fascinated and well informed by the broad content of Travelyucatan.com.

Kind regards.
Julie

What a wonderful site and service that you offer. I found out many things about Yucatan and found a great Hotel. I can't wait to experience all that you have to offer.

Thanks,

Sorry to bother you. But i really enjoy reading the information on your site, very helpful, informative and very pleasant reading. It also pleases me to see you 'warn' tourist for being ignorant, something often annoys me while being on holiday (for example, on your site you write: "Always remember you are in a place that does not necessarily operate the way things do back home.") Thanks, A grateful, soon to visit A wedding in Playa del Carmen and the Yucatan Region.

Just wanted to pass on how much I have enjoyed your website! It is very thorough and informative. My family and I are headed to a resort next to Playa Del Carmen on February 20th for a week. After reading your website, I am more than excited to experience your part of the world. I now have lots of great suggestions of things to do, places to see and restaurants to try.

Thanks, or should I say.............gracias!!!!!!

Hello, I discovered your website by chance. BRAVO ! I loved it and read almost all of it. It's the only site that gave me a more human and real vision of Mexico ( Mexicans, their life, their identity, etc...) and not only the touristic tips package. I'll visit Mexico next month with different eyes.

THANKS!
Samira

Hola! I have been planning a trip to Cancun for 2 and a half months now. I have been on the internet looking at web sites 5 days a week for 2 months looking for everthing from general information to updating my Spanish so that I may use as much as possible. YOUR SITTE IS NUMBER 1!!! It really is! I have only found a few sites with some spanish to english and they didn't offer much. Your travel tips are GREAT!! I have not yet seen a list of the things I may bring into the country untill now! The details on Mexican money are so interesting! I have not seen that anywhere else either! "The Art of Haggling"! Thank you! This is really really been a lot of help and I'm sure my experience will be a great one but after the tips and info from this site I bet I will be getting even more out of my vacation!!! Thank you and keep up the good work!!! Gracias!
